I wasn't always interested in design...come see the story of how I ended up falling in love with design.

Began taking computer programming classes
Never heard of computer science before. But it sounded very interesting. I became highly interested in the field. It was new, unfamiliar, and complex to me, which piqued my interest. I was fascinated with what could be done through harnessing the power of computer science and programming. My first taste of the intriguing world of computer science.
at rochester institute of technology
I majored in computing security
I wanted to explore different tech disciplines, so I chose to major in computing security. While I found it challenging and immersive, it just didn't seem like the right fit for me. I reminisced back to my childhood β a time when I confided in art as a means to express emotions and to tell stories.
1st year at the university of washington
Transfer to UW and early days in design
In 2022, I transferred to UW and chose to study Informatics, since it was a multidisciplinary IT major. In my foundational Informatics class, I was introduced to UX/UI design. I was instantly hooked by its multidisciplinary nature. This is one of my very first designs, and oh boyβ¦. π«£ π

Launching my career in design
After finding my calling in design, I joined Electric Potential as a Visual Designer. Electric Potential is a startup equipping Gen Z with the tools they need to launch a career in social change.
I am also a Recruiter and Career Advisor. It's new terrain, and a welcome one. I always leap at the opportunity to gain new experience wearing different hats π€ β as I have my whole life.
My goal for 2026 πͺ Find my place as a UX/UI Designer someplace new, and further my skills in this field I call home.
